OHana MUSIC: amplified!

OHANA RECORDS

Ohana Records, our music program, is for every student K–12. This program gives students the chance to explore the world of music from the very first note, whether they are beginners or experienced musicians. Students learn to play instruments, write songs, and perform, gaining confidence and discovering their unique musical voice. They collaborate with peers in class, perform at school events, and develop important skills like teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving. Ohana Records also offers opportunities for students to record their own music in professional studios, giving them a firsthand experience of the music industry. Throughout the year, students grow as musicians and as members of a musical community, learning to listen, adapt, and support one another while sharing their talents with others. The program is innovative, hands-on, and designed to ignite a lifelong love of music.

ROCK ON THE ROAD

For high school students, Rock on the Road takes the music experience even further. Students work together all year to write original songs, perfect playlists, and develop the skills needed to succeed as a band. They plan and execute real rock tours, performing at other schools, coffee shops, and events, and record their songs at professional recording studios. Along the way, they gain hands-on experience with lighting, scheduling, equipment management, and tour logistics, while traveling together—riding in vans, staying in hotels, and experiencing life on the road. Past tours have taken students to Nashville, Atlanta, Athens, Cleveland, Orlando, Miami and beyond. Rock on the Road is a dynamic, collaborative, and inspiring program that teaches students not only to make music but also to work together, take risks, and grow as confident, creative individuals.
