Dr. Dana TeCroney
Dana earned his Doctorate (Ph.D) in Mathematics Education from University of Georgia, Athens, with his dissertation focus of study on the mentoring practices with student teachers of mathematics. Dana also holds a Masters of Science (M.S) and Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in Mathematics Education, from the State University of New York at Fredonia. For the past 10 years, Dana’s educational expertise is grounded in work experiences that include teaching and administrative positions in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), supervising student teachers, and as an instructor at the University of Georgia. Dana was responsible for contacting and organizing university faculty in STEM fields to conduct presentations of their research, facilitate workshops based on interactive mathematics, design observation rubrics and assignments, and plan and implement all classroom instruction. At Ohana he will be working with students in the areas of elementary STEM, Advanced Mathematics, and Advanced Science to ensure they are college and career ready.
